What is Server Hosting?

A colocation facility or colo is a data centre facility where a business can rent space for servers and other computing equipment. Typically, a column provides the building, cooling, power, bandwidth and physical security, while the customer provides servers and storage. Space in the facility is usually rented by the rack, cabinet, cage or room. Many companies have expanded their offerings to include managed services that support their customers' business initiatives. There are several reasons why a business might choose a colour rather than build its own data centre, but one of the main drivers is the Capital Outlay (capex) associated with building, maintaining and updating a large computing facility. In the past, columns were often used by private organisations for disaster recovery (DR).

Server Hosting Security

Just as security is crucial for cloud providers, good security is essential for colocation providers. Colocation providers go to great lengths to ensure the physical security of their data centres. Some colocation providers install fences in the data centre as a way to isolate their tenants' hardware. Each fence has a locking gate so that tenants can only access their own data centre hardware. Security also tends to be implemented in a way that requires tenants to pass through multiple security checkpoints before accessing data centre hardware. However, some colocation providers do not allow their tenants physical access to the facility. All hardware maintenance and installation is performed by data centre staff in a process known as remote hands.

How should we send our server to you?

You can send your server to us by cargo or you can come directly to our data centre and deliver it by hand. For the servers sent by cargo, the responsibility for the time from sending to the delivery time belongs to the sender of the server.

Do you charge an installation fee?

The first installation of the Operating System and Control Panel Software purchased from our Data Centre is done by our Technical Team free of charge. For subsequent re-installation requests, free installation is done only once a month.

When will our server be ready for use?

As soon as your server arrives at our Data Centre, it is checked by our Technical Team, after your server is deemed suitable for installation in the cabinet, it is processed into the automation system with a Server Number and takes its place in the Data Centre and KVM Connection is transmitted to you. If your server is not installed, our technical team performs the initial installation in line with your requests and delivers the server to you.
